This inclusive education program is for children, teens, and young adults with intellectual disabilities. It’s implemented at the elementary and high school levels at the Interlomas and San Mateo campuses.
To provide students with support for acquiring competencies and developing skills that allow them to participate in their community independently and with self-determination.
Personalized teaching to enhance all their areas of development.
All students are integrated into regular classrooms according to their age for partial periods at the elementary level and different subjects at the middle and high school levels.
Promoting functional academic skills, social skills, and emotional competency.
INCLUSION BENEFITS US ALL
We aim to raise awareness within our school community, provide information, and guide on inclusion to promote a culture of diversity for everyone’s benefit, fostering values of tolerance and equity.
We work jointly with parents, encouraging autonomy in daily tasks, fostering self-determination, and establishing a sense of responsibility for their behaviors and decisions.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THEY LEAVE SIERRA NEVADA?
University inclusion in the “Construyendo puentes” program at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Santa Fe Campus.
Its main goal is to offer a training program in competencies for Independent Living in an inclusive university environment, allowing students to graduate with attitudes, skills, and knowledge necessary to participate in the community and future employment.
Like all students from Sierra Nevada, students from the Technical Group have life goals, enjoy university life, and aim to have dignified employment and become self-sufficient.
